The 34-year-old Uruguayan forward delivered a match-winning performance on Tuesday night, scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 Betway Premiership victory over Richards Bay FC at FNB Stadium. Coming off the bench, Sirino’s impact was immediate and clinical, giving Amakhosi a crucial three points and signalling a potential return to his best.
Sirino Hits Form Just in Time
With a massive encounter against Sundowns — his former club — looming, Sirino’s return to form couldn’t have come at a better moment. The veteran attacker was a standout performer last season, contributing four goals and six assists, and now looks primed to reclaim his spot as one of the team’s most dangerous assets.
According to Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef, Sirino has displayed a renewed focus and a notable shift in attitude this season.
“I think Sirino will come back this season,” said Youssef. “He returned with a very good attitude and delivered a very good performance.”

Youssef also revealed that the technical team has engaged in conversations with Sirino about his goals for the current campaign — and the forward is eager to make his mark.
“We also discussed with him a bit about his ideas and what he thinks about the season. He is so excited, he wants to perform and help the team,” Youssef added.
